Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful manner
- Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and other care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Experience taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
