Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper technique
Document patient interactions and observations clearly in the chart
Communicate patient needs and changes to the nursing team in a timely way
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Offer emotional support and friendly companionship to patients and families

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Proof of required immunizations and negative TB test as needed
Ability to pass background check and drug screen per facility policy
Previous experience in a long-term care or acute setting is a plus, but enthusiastic newly certified CNAs are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
Skill in taking vitals and reporting changes
Understanding of infection control and patient safety
Clear verbal and written communication with patients and clinical staff
Ability to follow care plans and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassion, patience, and strong observational skills
