Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients in the acute care setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) while preserving dignity
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Maintain accurate patient documentation and handoff communication with the care team
Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently
Contribute to a positive patient and family experience through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Experience in acute care preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or willing to obtain
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and perform physical aspects of patient care
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient hygiene, ADLs, and bedside care
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Basic electronic charting and documentation skills
