Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents to preserve dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Accurately document care and observations in resident records
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to coordinate great care
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) — must be eligible to work in Pennsylvania
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Familiarity with charting and documentation of resident care
- Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident's condition
- Safe patient handling and transfer skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
