Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and consistently
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper techniques
- Document care and observations clearly in patient records
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that supports dignity
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (Pennsylvania preferred)
- Valid basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Clean background check and up-to-date TB screening per facility policy
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a caring attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for resident care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and personal care
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
- Basic charting and communication skills with clinical teams
- Teamwork, time management, and compassionate patient interaction
