Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 8-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days vary by assignment; schedule to be confirmed with facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Assist nursing team with patient transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation
Observe, report, and document changes in patient condition clearly and promptly
Support infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for residents
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active authorization to work in Pennsylvania (state CNA credential)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or required by facility
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the Pittsburgh facility as needed

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer practices
Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety procedures
Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
