Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and record resident conditions and report any changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and skin breakdown
- Help create a warm, friendly atmosphere that enhances resident quality of life
- Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA or eligible for PA certification)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings/immunizations
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Ability to safely assist with mobility and transfers
- Comfortable documenting care and communicating observations to nursing staff
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Teamwork mindset and reliability for scheduled shifts
