Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide timely, courteous care while following individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and family members
• Support mealtime assistance and encourage adequate nutrition and hydration
• Participate in teamwork and unit tasks to promote efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred or eligible to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable with patient transfers, mobility assistance, and safe lifting techniques
• Familiarity with infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
