Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support safe transfer and positioning of patients, following facility protocols
- Adhere to infection control practices and promote a clean, safe environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Willingness to comply with facility-required immunizations and background checks
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting; previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient hygiene and mobility assistance
- Basic vital signs assessment and observation skills
- Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Good documentation practices and timely communication
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with patients
