Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe transfers while using proper body mechanics
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident status
- Follow individualized care plans and assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in Pennsylvania
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and holding an active CNA registry listing
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident-centered care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Careful documentation and effective communication with the care team
