Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility with dignity
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Accurately document care, observations, and resident interactions
• Collaborate with the care team and communicate with families in a respectful way
• Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding as needed
• Contribute to positive resident experiences through kindness and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania preferred) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and standing for shifts
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of resident-centered care and dignity principles
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic vital signs and observation skills
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Good time-management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Effective interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
