Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate bedside care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations in resident charts
• Support a clean and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure person-centered care
• Respond calmly and professionally to residents’ needs during the night shift, promoting comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Meet Pennsylvania/state CNA registry or certification requirements as applicable
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and any facility onboarding requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and resident assistance with ADLs
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time on busy night shifts
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and dignity
