Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers while following proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care accurately in the facility charting system and communicate with the care team
- Build rapport with patients and families to create a positive care experience
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification or state equivalent (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and hygiene procedures
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation systems
