Shift Type: Per Diem Pool - schedule varies; day and night shifts available as needed (flexible PRN scheduling)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policies
- Develop, update, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Monitor resident condition, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Document care and assessments clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote quality of life
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge activities as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred if applicable
- Immunizations and health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, annual influenza vaccine, completed physical/health statement
- Successful Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (per facility requirement)
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred; per diem or pool experience a plus
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, and able to adapt to variable schedules
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred but ADN with experience accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and resident-focused care
- Medication administration and IV/PO documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Skilled in wound care, ADL support, and chronic disease monitoring
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to urgent resident needs calmly
