Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care for long-term care patients
• Perform thorough assessments and create/update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses in the medical record
• Participate in infection control, immunization, and safety initiatives
• Support residents' activities of daily living and promote quality of life

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (ability to obtain/maintain state licensure for assignments)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Must be able to pass respirator fit test, respirator evaluation, and 10-panel drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
• Successful license/certificate verification and health clearance

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical skills in long-term care nursing and resident assessment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and control knowledge
• Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
