Shift Type: Rotating 7 on / 7 off (Weds - Tue). Weekday coverage (Mon - Fri): 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM; Weekend coverage (Sat - Sun): 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM. Rotating day/evening/weekend/holiday shifts.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day outpatient pharmacy operations and ensure smooth workflow and staffing
- Provide direct patient care and comprehensive medication management across age groups
- Assign duties, supervise pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, aides) and support their development
- Maintain outpatient pharmacy compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and pharmacy leadership to improve operations
- Coordinate pharmacy-managed clinic activities and support credentialing efforts
- Participate in rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous patient care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) OR Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS-Pharm) with 3 years of pharmacy experience (friendly note: both pathways are recognized)
- Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. State, Territory, or DC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA)
- Inpatient pharmacy experience required: minimum 1 year for level I; minimum 3 years as a Registered Pharmacist for level II
- Preferred: ASHP board certification in an approved specialty and credentialed provider experience in pharmacy-managed clinics
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school OR Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS-Pharm) with 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Experience supervising staffing, scheduling and workflow optimization
- Familiarity with pharmacy compliance, regulatory standards and hospital policy
- Strong patient counseling and direct-care skills across pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
- Comfortable working varied shifts and adapting to rotational schedules
- Experience with pharmacy billing oversight and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams
