Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Day 06:45 AM - 7:00 PM; Night 06:45 PM - 7:00 AM (both day and night coverage; staffing includes both shift types)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Perform triage assessments and non-stress tests (NSTs) to evaluate maternal and fetal well-being
- Serve as second nurse at deliveries and assist with delivery management and overflow patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Support and manage patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery
- Educate and empower families on newborn care and postpartum recovery
Qualifications
- Labor-trained RN with demonstrated experience in Labor & Delivery and postpartum care
- Certifications required: NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above)
- Comfortable acting as second nurse at deliveries and providing newborn care
- Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or similar rural setting is a strong plus
- Strong teamwork, communication, and triage skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Newborn care and stabilization, including STABLE protocols
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) procedures
- Postpartum assessment and support for mother and infant
- Triage and non-stress test (NST) administration
- Delivery assistance and safe labor management
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with pediatrics and physicians in fast-paced settings
