Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform vital signs checks and monitor residents for changes in condition
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention to promote safety
• Document resident care accurately and communicate meaningful updates to the care team
• Support meal assistance and feeding as needed, respecting preferences and dignity
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs and call lights

Qualifications

• Active LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant credential (NH or VT licensure expected given job coverage)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility policy)
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and providing consistent evening coverage
• Clear background check and ability to complete facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Proficiency taking and documenting vital signs
• Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
