Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly to support clinical decision-making
• Assist nursing team with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment to protect residents and staff
• Document care activities and resident responses clearly and professionally in the chart
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or skin integrity to the nursing staff
• Support infection prevention practices, maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone
• Build meaningful connections with residents to promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current LNA/CNA certification valid for New Hampshire (VT certification accepted if applicable)
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Good communication skills, reliability, and a team-focused attitude
• Comfort with frequent standing, walking, and safe lifting procedures

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant/LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with resident personal care and ADLs
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and documentation
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic charting and attention to detail
