Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and assist in implementing treatment plans
• Collaborate with PTs and the care team to progress patient mobility and function
• Deliver compassionate patient education to support home exercise programs and safe discharge
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Assist with gait training, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment to maximize independence
• Participate in team huddles and contribute clinical observations to enhance care plans

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the U.S., or eligible for MA licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations in a rehabilitation setting
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting (or equivalent accredited PTA program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and functional mobility
• Knowledge of ADLs, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment
• Competence with documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to follow care plans and modify interventions under PT supervision
• Good clinical reasoning, time management, and patient-centered care approach
