Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess behavioral health needs and create individualized, strengths-based care plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions and crisis support to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and high-quality outcomes
• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions that promote recovery and resilience
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Advocate for patients’ needs and connect them with community resources and follow-up care
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and report changes to the treatment team
• Support a positive, safe environment and model compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active behavioral health professional license valid in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Experience in behavioral health settings; experience with both inpatient and outpatient care preferred
• Comfortable working across two closely located campus sites (Bullock CF and Bullock In-patient)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel between sites
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health/immunization requirements
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Available for a 13-week travel assignment starting Dec 29, 2025

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and care planning
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Competence facilitating therapeutic groups and individual counseling
• Excellent clinical documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) skills
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary staff
• Cultural competence and trauma-informed care approach
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting
