Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate behavioral health assessments and individualized care plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and crisis management on the unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the facility record system
• Support rehabilitation and therapeutic programming tailored to each patient
• Advocate for patients’ needs while upholding facility policies and safety standards

Qualifications

• Licensed Behavioral Health Professional (state licensure required)
• Experience working in behavioral health settings; correctional or inpatient experience a strong plus
• Comfortable providing crisis intervention and working collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and professional documentation habits
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required; advanced degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and clinical intervention techniques for behavioral health
• Trauma-informed care practices and de-escalation strategies
• Familiarity with EMR/documentation and care coordination
• Ability to work in secure/correctional or inpatient behavioral health environments
• Cultural sensitivity, boundary management, and strong interpersonal skills
