Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and progress accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion
• Respond effectively to clinical changes and emergencies with sound judgment
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (New Mexico license or compact RN privilege recommended)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications encouraged
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring skills
• IV therapy and medication administration best practices
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Critical thinking, time management, and teamwork
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
