Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate overnight nursing care to patients on your unit
- Perform assessments, document findings, and implement care plans with accuracy
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Respond to emergencies and prioritize interventions with calm and competence
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge readiness
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and communicate handoffs clearly
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in New Mexico (active and in good standing)
- Previous acute care or long-term care nursing experience preferred — travel experience a plus
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications welcome
- Ability to work overnight 12+ hour shifts and maintain patient safety and documentation
- Immunizations and health screening per facility policy
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program; appropriate state licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Comfort with overnight unit management and independent decision-making
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
