Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care for assigned caseloads during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility protocols
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document care and communicate clear handoffs to day teams to ensure continuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Respond quickly to emergencies and escalate concerns to appropriate clinical leads
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license valid in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) preferred where applicable
- Previous clinical experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred
- Clean clinical background with reliable references and strong professional communication skills
- Ability to pass required facility onboarding and health screenings
Education
- LPN: Practical nursing diploma or certificate (as applicable)
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — per licensure requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
- Strong prioritization, time management, and critical thinking during busy shifts
- Team-oriented mindset with clear oral and written communication
- Ability to provide culturally competent care in a diverse community
