Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during daytime shifts
• Perform assessments, implement care plans, and monitor patient progress
• Respond to on-call events promptly and manage urgent clinical situations
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
• Participate in unit competency testing and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (license verification required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required or current
• Ability to be on-call 1-2 nights per week
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Fit testing and required immunizations/drug screen as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills including NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proven ability in acute care and emergency response (TNCC, ACLS)
• Effective clinical documentation and electronic charting
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and prioritization under pressure
• Comfortable with on-call workflows and rapid decision-making
• Competent with routine procedures, infection control, and patient safety practices
