Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Weeknights (Mon-Fri) call approximately every 1-2 weeks; Weekends (Sat-Sun) call approximately every 4-5 weekends; Holiday rotation with 12-hour shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 10-hour shifts 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM. Rotating day shifts with scheduled on-call weeknights and weekends.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams by preparing and passing instruments and supplies with precision
• Establish and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety during procedures
• Perform Trinity specialty competency testing and complete required skills checklists
• Verify and maintain accurate instrument counts and documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and techs to anticipate procedure needs
• Participate in call rotations, responding promptly and professionally when scheduled
• Complete required health screenings, fit testing, and maintain immunization records

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• BLS certification required
• License or certificate verification as applicable
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing
• Current fit test and ability to meet Trinity-specific COVID questionnaire requirements
• Required immunizations and screenings: 2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, and Trinity 10 panel drug screen

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative protocols
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and procedural setups
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced OR environments
• Clear communication skills with surgical teams and support staff
• Attention to detail for counts, documentation, and safety checks
• Comfort with competency testing and ongoing skills validation
