Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic polysomnography studies with accuracy and compassion
• Monitor patients overnight and ensure safety and comfort throughout studies
• Score and document sleep data following BRPT standards and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the sleep team to support patient care plans
• Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure reliable recordings
• Adhere to infection control, privacy, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• BRPT credential preferred or equivalent certification in polysomnography
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Active license or certificate verification as required by facility
• Ability to work weekly weekend coverage reliably
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screening per facility policy (COVID-19, MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, influenza, varicella, TB screening, drug screen)
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited polysomnography program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on Polysomnography experience and sleep study protocols
• Sleep staging and scoring according to accepted standards
• Patient monitoring and safety during overnight studies
• Familiarity with common sleep lab equipment and troubleshooting
• Basic computer and electronic health record documentation skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
