Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient condition, develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments and discharge planning
• Accurately document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the EMR

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Tennessee RN or compact RN licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to pass required clinical orientation and facility-specific competencies

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical assessment and patient-care prioritization
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Proficient clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
• Critical thinking, safe delegation and time management
• Patient education and discharge planning experience
