Roles & Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and confidently to rapid response activations to stabilize patients
• Perform thorough assessments, interpret telemetry, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the care team to coordinate timely care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Sunrise EMR
• Provide clear patient and family education during critical moments
• Use critical thinking to escalate concerns and support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (telemetry/med-surg preferred)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Telemetry experience and comfort managing cardiac monitoring
• Experience with Sunrise EMR is a plus
• Comfort caring for bariatric and vascular patients; bariatric experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in high-acuity situations

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Familiar with med-surg telemetry patient care and typical patient ratios
• Experience with Alaris pumps, bladder scanners, chest tube drainage systems, Dinamaps and similar unit equipment
• Skilled documentation in Sunrise EMR or similar electronic health records
• Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and emergency response skills
• Team-oriented mindset and the ability to float across med-surg telemetry units
