Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care on the long-term care unit
• Assess resident conditions, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
• Document resident care clearly and timely in the clinical record
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Serve as a mentor and resource to CNA staff during the night shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana or eligibility to obtain one (posting indicates MT-RN)
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and collaborate with onsite team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of long-term care best practices and nursing standards
• Proficiency in medication administration and infection control procedures
• Comfortable with resident assessments, documentation, and care planning
• Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple residents safely
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to de-escalate challenging situations
