Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments with professionalism and empathy
• Conduct interview-based evaluations and targeted physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Use a goniometer and perform METs testing as clinically indicated
• Complete standardized DBQs in the provider portal and submit them within 48 hours of exam completion
• Review medical records and integrate findings into DBQs and medical opinions
• Prepare clear addendums and medical opinions when required
• Participate in required onboarding, DMA training, and the 2-hour PEP session to ensure quality and consistency
• Coordinate scheduling and documentation tasks in a timely, organized manner

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with active and unrestricted state medical license
• Board certification or background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
• Experience with non-treatment exams, compensation and pension processes, or related medicolegal evaluations preferred
• Comfortable performing range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and using a goniometer
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
• Ability to complete DBQs within required timelines and work in a secure online provider portal
• Access to and ability to use a personal Windows laptop (NO MACs permitted)
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas and be within 50 miles of assigned facility when required

Education

• MD or DO (Physician degree required)
• Active state medical license required
• Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease
• Skilled interviewer with experience performing focused, non-treatment medical exams
• Proficient at medical record review and translating clinical findings into standardized DBQs
• Competent with teleconferencing tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams for training
• Comfortable with documentation of addendums and medical opinions
• Able to navigate secure web portals and learn vendor-specific reporting systems
