Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for a diverse patient population
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and best practices
• Perform NIHSS assessments and other specialty evaluations as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and unit competency testing

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state verification required)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Successful completion of License/Certificate Verification and Trinity competency checks
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (Fit Test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, physical/health statement)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with ACLS/PALS protocols and emergency response
• Proficiency in NIHSS and stroke-related assessments
• Competence in trauma nursing principles (TNCC)
• Clear, professional communication and documentation skills
• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining patient safety and dignity
