Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality 2-D transthoracic echocardiograms and Doppler studies for adult patients
• Acquire contrast and bubble study images and perform stress echo studies as needed
• Apply ASE measurement standards to calculate LV volumes, LV strain and diastolic parameters accurately
• Use Philips ultrasound systems to capture diagnostic images and ensure proper equipment function
• Build clear, concise preliminary echo reports in Epic for physician interpretation
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain patient safety, infection control and documentation standards while delivering compassionate care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience
• Experience with Epic (EMR) charting — required
• Proficiency with adult echo modalities: 2D echo, Color Doppler, M-Mode, contrast imaging and bubble studies
• Familiarity with Philips adult echo systems
• Ability to perform stress echo modalities (treadmill and pharmacologic) preferred
• Certifications preferred: ARDMS, RDCS, AE (preferred but not strictly required)
• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology and ASE measurement standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography fundamentals including Diastology, LV Strain and Simpson's Rule calculations
• Hands-on experience with Philips ultrasound systems
• Comfort performing imaging with contrast agents and bubble studies
• Strong measurement and reporting skills aligned with ASE standards
• Ability to build preliminary echo reports in Epic for physician review
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
