Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiographic and CT exams with precision and professional judgment
- Position patients accurately to capture diagnostic-quality images while minimizing retakes
- Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) to protect patients and staff
- Operate portable and C-Arm imaging equipment in the department and OR as needed
- Prepare, draw up, and handle contrast media following sterile technique and protocol
- Review images for quality and proper positioning, repeating views only when necessary
- Ensure images and exams are correctly documented and loaded into STENTOR for interpretation
- Communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams to coordinate optimal care
- Report equipment issues promptly and assist in maintaining safety and regulatory compliance
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Minimum three years of imaging experience, with CT experience required
- Current Washington State DOH Certified Radiologic Technologist license
- ARRT (R) registration required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Education
- Successful completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Knowledge & Skills
- Computed Tomography (CT) protocols and image acquisition best practices
- General radiography, patient positioning, and anatomy recognition
- Radiation safety practices and monitoring (ALARA principles)
- Image quality control and basic equipment warm-up/maintenance
- Portable radiography and C-Arm operation in clinical and OR settings
- Contrast media preparation, inspection, and administration using sterile technique
- Familiarity with STENTOR workflow and imaging documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient interaction skills
