Shift Type: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night); specific days scheduled by the facility
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care as the primary nurse for PCU patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
- Monitor and respond to patient changes, escalate concerns to providers as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards
- Support a culture of safety and quality improvement in a rural Critical Access Hospital
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - may be obtained upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to safely function in a high-elevation environment (approximately 8,000 ft)
- Comfort working nights and providing primary nursing in a rural hospital setting
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in a Patient Care Unit (PCU) with primary nursing responsibilities
- Familiarity with practices in a Critical Access Hospital
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and patient monitoring skills
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Medication administration and basic emergency response competency
- Adaptability to rural workflows and resource-limited settings
- Patient education and discharge planning skills
