Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Position patients and prepare them for imaging procedures with professionalism and compassion
• Operate CT equipment and optimize imaging parameters to achieve diagnostic-quality images
• Administer contrast agents per protocol and monitor patients for reactions when applicable
• Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists to address repeats or concerns
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the electronic medical record
• Follow strict infection control and radiation safety protocols at all times
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and required competency assessments such as the Trinity Skills Checklist

Qualifications

• CT technologist certification (ARRT-CT preferred) or equivalent state certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid state radiologic technologist license (as applicable)
• Completion of required employer onboarding items (e.g., Trinity Skills Checklist, license/certificate verification)
• Ability to pass required health screenings: 10-panel drug screen, 2-step PPD or IGRA, respirator evaluation, and immunizations per facility policy
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts
• Comfort with IV contrast administration and monitoring, if required by facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
• ARRT registration eligible or certified preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging principles, cross-sectional anatomy, and image acquisition
• Experience with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique
• Ability to troubleshoot CT equipment and escalate technical issues appropriately
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation and time-management skills
