Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and coordinate individualized care plans with the care team
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
• Utilize specialty competencies and complete Trinity-specific testing and skills checklists
• Document clinical care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary staff to support positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active RN license (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC and NIHSS certifications (current)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Successful completion of Fit Test and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Current physical/health statement as required by credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable with acute care protocols and emergency responses
• Proficient in documentation and following unit-specific competency standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with stroke assessment using NIHSS (per certification requirement)
