Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition using evidence-based practices, ensuring safe, high-quality care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting care in the medical record
• Perform focused neurological and trauma assessments when appropriate (NIHSS, TNCC applicable)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized patient plans
• Provide clear, compassionate education and support to patients and their families
• Maintain compliance with clinical competencies and facility-specific checklists
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute clinical insights

Qualifications

• Active RN status with license/certification verification required
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• TNCC (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Completion of facility-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Required pre-employment health screenings and immunizations (see checklist for details)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficiency in advanced cardiac and stroke protocols (ACLS, NIHSS)
• Trauma nursing fundamentals (TNCC) and emergency response readiness
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical record familiarity
• Ability to follow facility-specific competency checklists and testing procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork within a fast-paced clinical setting
