Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition using evidence-based practices, ensuring safe, high-quality care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting care in the medical record
- Perform focused neurological and trauma assessments when appropriate (NIHSS, TNCC applicable)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized patient plans
- Provide clear, compassionate education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain compliance with clinical competencies and facility-specific checklists
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute clinical insights
Qualifications
- Active RN status with license/certification verification required
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (required)
- TNCC (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- Completion of facility-specific competency testing and skills checklist
- Required pre-employment health screenings and immunizations (see checklist for details)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency in advanced cardiac and stroke protocols (ACLS, NIHSS)
- Trauma nursing fundamentals (TNCC) and emergency response readiness
- Accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical record familiarity
- Ability to follow facility-specific competency checklists and testing procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork within a fast-paced clinical setting
