Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise external beam and IMRT treatments to oncology patients using Varian equipment
• Operate ARIA and document treatments accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and localization to verify patient setup and target accuracy
• Calculate and verify radiation dose and follow prescribed treatment plans
• Prepare and handle custom molds, shields, wedges and other beam-modifying devices
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and isolation precautions to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate patient education and support throughout the treatment process

Qualifications

• Active California State Radiation Therapist license (required)
• ARRT certification (required) and ARRT (T) preferred
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
• Experience with ARIA and Varian 21EX/iX (required)
• Familiarity with EPIC charting is preferred; experience with Pinnacle or Eclipse is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• External Beam Therapy and IMRT delivery
• Treatment planning concepts and dose calculation
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and patient localization
• Beam modifying/positioning techniques, custom molds and shields
• Experience with ARIA and Varian 21EX/iX linear accelerators
• Charting in EPIC; familiarity with Pinnacle and Eclipse
• Radiation safety protocols and rapid response/code team participation
• Patient handling and lift/transfer device use; age-specific care for young adult to older adult
