Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to a diverse, high-acuity patient population
• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments and initiate department protocols
• Manage trauma, stroke, sepsis, DKA, and complex cardiac cases with confidence
• Insert and manage IVs (including ultrasound-guided) and IO lines when needed
• Interpret EKGs and collaborate with the care team to expedite lifesaving interventions
• Operate and monitor emergency equipment such as Lucas device, rapid infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
• Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in New Hampshire)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience for contract positions
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required for contract labor
• Demonstrated critical thinking, strong assessment skills, and dependable work ethic
• Comfortable with high-acuity cases, trauma protocols, and fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with Sunrise and/or Allscripts EMR preferred

Education

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing and rapid patient assessment
• EKG interpretation and cardiopulmonary care experience
• Ultrasound-guided IV insertion and IO insertion skills
• Trauma and stroke care familiarity, including protocol-driven interventions
• Proficient use of emergency devices: Lucas device, rapid infuser, Alaris pumps, Pyxis
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of Sunrise/Allscripts electronic medical records
