Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Support patient comfort and safety during night shifts, including repositioning and fall prevention
Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Assist with bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility needs with dignity and respect
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nursing staff
Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of California
CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar healthcare setting preferred
Up-to-date immunizations and negative TB test per facility policy
Reliable transportation and ability to work nights on a per-diem basis
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and charting
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety best practices
Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to the nursing team
Skill in safe patient transfers and use of assistive devices
Good teamwork, time management, and observational skills
