Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab during assigned shifts
• Assist the interventional team with left/right heart caths, pacemaker/ICD implants, watchman procedures, EP ablations and vascular/IR cases
• Monitor and document patient hemodynamics and responses using MERGE Hemo and Meditech documentation systems
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and specialized cath lab equipment (Phillips systems noted)
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and initiate ACLS/BLS protocols when required
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and compassionate patient support

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Electrophysiology experience preferred and will be considered first
• Clinical experience in a cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, or related area preferred
• Comfort with cath lab documentation systems (MERGE Hemo) and Meditech is a plus
• Effective communicator, team player, and flexible to unit needs and floating assignments
• Ability to work weekends and participate in on-call coverage as required

Education

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on familiarity with cardiac cath lab procedures and instrumentation
• Understanding of pacemaker/ICD implants, watchman, EP ablations and vascular interventions
• Proficient in patient monitoring, hemodynamic assessment and peri-procedural nursing
• Experience with MERGE Hemo documentation and Meditech electronic charting
• Comfort with Philips cath lab equipment and associated technology
• Strong infection control, sterile technique and safety-focused practice
