Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures including EGD, colonoscopy and ERCP to ensure smooth, efficient care
• Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and scopes (Olympus, Storz) with strict attention to sterile technique
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Meditech and follow Provation workflows when applicable
• Collaborate with RNs and the care team to optimize patient flow and safety
• Provide compassionate patient positioning, pre-procedure support and post-procedure recovery assistance
• Maintain inventory, ensure equipment readiness and report any issues promptly
• Answer call rotations professionally and respond as needed to support the unit

Qualifications

• Basic GI tech skills required — candidates without this will not be considered
• BLS certification required
• Willingness to take call as part of the team
• Hands-on experience with endoscopy procedures preferred
• Familiarity with Provation preferred
• Experience with Olympus and Storz scopes preferred
• Strong teamwork, flexibility and a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience using Meditech EMR for documentation
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP
• Familiarity with Olympus and Storz endoscopes and basic scope reprocessing
• Ability to follow infection control and sterile processing protocols
• Good patient communication and positioning skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced procedural unit and taking call
