Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using digital mammography and tomosynthesis
• Execute magnification and spot-compression views to aid accurate diagnosis
• Comfortably demonstrate and communicate complex mammographic cases to radiologists
• Support stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography procedures when required
• Document exams accurately in Cerner and PenRad and maintain MQSA-required logs and records
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a women’s imaging environment, mindful of patients with cancer history
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to maintain a smooth, efficient breast imaging service

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography certification (ARRT (M)) — required
• Meet MQSA standards: initial 40 hours training, current continuing education, and mammography numbers (200 exams/2 years)
• Minimum 2 years mammography experience (as listed in the posting)
• BLS certification — required
• Comfortable performing advanced mammography imaging and communicating findings to radiologists
• IV certification and competence in invasive/sterile procedures preferred
• Familiarity with GE Senographe Pristina equipment considered a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent (preferred)
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications as required by the unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skill with screening and diagnostic mammography and digital tomosynthesis
• Experience with magnification and spot-compression techniques
• Familiarity with Cerner and PenRad documentation systems
• Strong patient communication and empathy in women’s imaging
• Ability to support stereotactic procedures and pre-surgical localizations
• Understanding of MQSA regulations and documentation requirements
