Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography studies for outpatient and emergency department patients with accuracy and care
• Conduct portable exams competently and safely across care settings
• Work independently to manage imaging workflow and patient needs during your shift
• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality on every study
• Document exams thoroughly and communicate findings and concerns to the care team
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Valid NYS X-ray License (required)
• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• 1-2 years of diagnostic radiography experience preferred, including portable and ER experience
• Comfortable working independently and handling a fast-paced outpatient and ER caseload
• Ability to pass health clearance requirements including vaccinations, TB screening, and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques and portable imaging
• Proficient in patient positioning and radiation safety best practices
• Familiarity with emergency room imaging workflows and outpatient radiology processes
• Competent with imaging equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Accurate clinical documentation and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to varied patient populations and the ability to prioritize in busy settings
