Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
• Perform and document NIHSS assessments for timely stroke evaluation
• Provide BLS-level interventions and respond to emergencies with calm efficiency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards
• Maintain accurate license/certification verification and compliant documentation
• Educate patients and families with clear, kind communication to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) — license/certificate verification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required or demonstrated competency
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing for credentialing
• Up-to-date occupational health items: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), fit test, color vision screening, and required immunizations
• Successful Trinity 10-panel drug screen and completed physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with NIHSS stroke assessment and acute neurologic observation
• Strong clinical assessment and patient prioritization skills
• Infection control and immunization compliance knowledge
• Clear, timely documentation and communication with clinical teams
• Ability to complete facility-specific competency testing and follow checklists
