Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across assigned units
• Respond promptly and professionally to on-call assignments and emergency needs
• Participate in holiday rotation and support continuity of care during peak times
• Complete and maintain Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Maintain required certifications and license verification at all times
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification as required
• Current certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Willingness and ability to work 8-10 hour shifts, participate in on-call (10-12 calls/month) and holiday rotation
• Meet Trinity health onboarding requirements: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), fit test, Trinity COVID questionnaire, required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Influenza, Tdap), physical/health statement, and 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient care fundamentals and bedside nursing skills
• Competency in emergency response and advanced life support protocols (PALS, ACLS, BLS)
• Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and trauma nursing core concepts (TNCC)
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities and flexible shift coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and professional bedside manner
• Ability to complete required Trinity skills and specialty competency testing
