Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist - PET/CT
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality PET/CT and CT diagnostic imaging with contrast, delivering excellent patient care
- Safely prepare, store, handle and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with protocols
- Start and maintain IVs for contrast and radiopharmaceutical administration as needed
- Operate PET/CT and CT equipment (Siemens experience a plus) and troubleshoot routine issues
- Document procedures and findings accurately in the charting system, with Epic preferred
- Float to sister sites (Westwood, Santa Monica, Encino, Santa Clarita) to support clinical needs
- Collaborate with authorized users, technologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain regulatory compliance, safety standards and patient-centered professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Required dual Nuclear Medicine and CT or X-ray state licenses (dual-license is critical)
- Preferred certifications: ARRT N, ARRT CT, NMTCB, CNMT, PET certification where applicable
- Minimum of 1 year PET/CT experience preferred
- Experience with IV starts and contrast administration
- Familiarity with handling radioactive materials and radiation safety practices
- Ability and willingness to float between multiple facilities as requested
- Comfortable using Epic or similar electronic charting systems
Knowledge & Skills
- PET Scan procedures and PET/CT imaging workflows
- CT imaging with contrast and appropriate patient prep
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Radiation safety and the storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials
- Isolation precautions and safe patient handling
- Experience with Siemens imaging equipment is a plus
- Charting and documentation best practices (Epic preferred)
