Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with varying end times, plus call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist physicians as directed during a wide variety of surgical procedures
Serve as first assistant across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety
Float between campuses as needed to support staffing demands
Respond to call within 30 minutes to cover after-hours and weekend needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in California
RNFA certification or equivalent first-assistant training
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Robotics experience is a deal-breaker requirement
Comfortable scrubbing when needed
Ability to handle a fast-paced OR with 15 cases per day
Familiarity with total joints, robotic hysterectomies, spine, and cranial procedures
Willingness to float and take call across two campuses
